OUR LOCATION
SKYDIVING DROP ZONE
An amazing place to experience the thrill of freefall skydiving
Even the flight up will give you terrific views. Of Mount Snowdon and Snowdonia National Park, the coast of Cardigan Bay and the Llyn peninsula; even of Ireland ! And then when you exit the aircraft and are in freefall, its just ‘Wow’ !
You’ll be under canopy with your tandem instructor at around 5,000’. With Mount Snowdon at 3,560 you’ll be above that and gently spiralling down you will have unparrelled 360 degree views of this breath-taking part of Wales. Skydiving is definitely the best way to get the best view of the world.
There is a range of accommodation locally and there is a café/bistro on the airfield, and plenty of parking. And the beaches in the area are fantastic. So, after the exhileration of your skydive you may just want to relax on some nearby golden sand.
Several companies have businesses there, and our associates, Whizzard Helicopters, are able to offer fantastic helicopter tours and introductory flights, with a chance to try flying a helicopter yourself if you want! With an instructor obviously… 😊
Historically Llanbedr was owned by the military and was used as a second airfield for the training of fast jets pilots from Valley Airfield on Anglesea. These days it is under the control of Snowdonia Aerospace LLP, but you will still likely see a plane or a helicopter or two while you are here, just flying around and having fun.
