CHARITY SKYDIVING
HOW DOES IT WORK
A lot of people choose to combine the thrill of a skydive with raising money for a good cause. There are a great many charities out there, so choose one that is important to you as almost all charities will accept donations raised for a skydive. In order for the sponsors monies to be used to cover the cost of your jump, charities usually require that the amount raised is double the cost of the skydive. So firstly, you should contact the charity directly to confirm this.
HOW TO GET STARTED…
Simply book and pay your deposit or total cost for your chosen skydive with Skydive Snowdonia. Booking direct with us rather than through an agent ensures more money goes to your charity.
And then, begin fundraising ! Get your family and friends and work colleagues to support you !
You can collect sponsors money in two ways: sites such as JustGiving for example, will allow you to create your own funding web page. Your friends and sponsors pledge money, which they can do by all the usual card payment means etc., and JustGiving send that money directly on to the charity after you have completed your skydive. It’s really quite easy !
In a more traditional way way you can download a sponsorship form from us here SPONSORSHIP FORM and arrange for pledges and collect funds yourself.
Please note that in both cases the full costs of your skydive must be paid to Skydive Snowdonia before your jump. Given that JustGiving pay your sponsors money direct to your chosen charity, you must pay Skydive Snowdonia by some other means. If you have paid a deposit only then the balance must be paid at least 1 week before your jump date, if you have booked via our website you will automatically receive an email and outstanding balance statement with a pay now link.
AND DON’T FORGET THAT…
As with all student and tandem skydiving, please be sure you are eligible to jump by checking that you comply with the British Skydiving medical requirements listed on Form 115A linked ‘here‘. If you do not, or are in doubt, please take this Form 115B linked ‘here’ to your GP for signature. The signed 115A (or 115B) must be brought with you on the day of your jump.
For more information on what to expect on the day of your tandem skydive download our information pack linked ‘here’, and if you wish set up your account on JustGiving click below.
